On March 9th, the “freshest game on ‘grass’” returns for more insane Indoor Hurling with the Tacoma Hounds! The draft is complete, the jerseys are ordered, and everyone’s eyein’ that single-digit-day countdown to the best show in T-Town.

Who will challenge the Panther’s precedent for a port-side, perfect run on their way to hoisting last Fall’s inaugural Cup? Which of Season 2’s new faces are poised for a breakout rookie campaign? With the field’s fantastic frenzy often witnessing at least a score per minute, there’s never a safe moment to look away from the action.

The latest quest for Indoor immortality pits three new captains against each other: Kris’ Unicorn Wranglers, Kurt’s Salty Pretzels, and Nash’s Trashfires. A round of Hounds & Hurling trivia determined the draft order, with the “feat of mental strength” replacing last year’s adjusted long jump competition. Shout out to Wingman Brewery for hosting the second Draft Night event!

The Tacoma Soccer Center will still showcase the South Sound’s silkiest stickwork at 2610 E. Bay St. The split fixture list transitions from Saturdays back to those Wednesday Night Lights midway through the 7-week, round-robin match schedule:

  • 3/9 (Sat.): 1:30pm-2:45pm, Unicorn Wranglers v. Salty Pretzels
  • 3/16 (Sat.): 1:30pm-2:45pm, Salty Pretzels v. Trashfires
  • 3/23 (Sat.): 1:30pm-2:45pm, Trashfires v. Unicorn Wranglers
  • 3/27 (Wed.): 7:45pm-9:00pm, Salty Pretzels v. Unicorn Wranglers
  • 4/3 (Wed.): 7:45pm-9:00pm, Unicorn Wranglers v. Trashfires
  • 4/10 (Wed.): 7:45pm-9:00pm, Trashfires v. Salty Pretzles
  • 4/17 (Wed.): 7:45pm-9:00pm, Cup Final

There is no admission cost for spectators – though we do ask you bring a nonperishable food item donation, which we can bring to Nourish Pierce County Foodbanks (for canned items, please bring “pop-tops” for the opener’s convenience). Each team’s mouthwatering jerseys are available at the club’s merch shop.


The top two teams at the conclusion of league play will compete in a Cup Final match on April 17th to see who takes home this season’s glory and bragging rights. As always, the Hurling is gonna be off the wall!
